With more than 15 years of experience as a professional artist, and more in creative design fields I specialise in both painted portraits & custom artwork across a variety of formats. Please read below for details on commission types, sizes, pricing & terms & conditions.
Painted Portraits
A hand-painted portrait in oils is a timeless way to capture the essence of a loved one, a community member or yourself. I offer a range of canvas sizes to suit your space & preferences & each piece is meticulously crafted using the finest materials.
Standard Canvas Sizes & Pricing (inches)
- Small 30 cm x 40 cm (approx A3) — Starting from £650
- Medium 40 cm x 60 cm (approx A2) — Starting from £1,200
- Large 60 cm x 80 cm (approx A1) — Starting from £2,000
- Extra Large 80 cm x 100 cm (approx A0) — Starting from £3,000
Additional Options
- If you wish to commission a portrait in a non-standard size or of multiple subjects (e.g. family or community), additional fees apply based on the complexity & number of individuals.
Pencil & Charcoal Drawn Portraits
For a different look, charcoal & graphite are combined for more emotive portraits. These drawings capture a timeless quality & are ideal for more intimate, understated pieces.
Paper Sizes & Pricing
• Small 29.7 cm x 42.0 cm (A3) — Starting from £400
• Medium 42.0 cm x 59.4 cm (A2) — Starting from £700
• Large 59.4 cm x 84.1 cm (A1) — Starting from £1,200
Additional Options
• Additional subjects in the portrait will incur extra fees.
Speciality Art Commissions
Beyond portraits, I am open to a variety of custom artwork commissions. Whether it’s a painted landscape, murals, a moving image piece, a more abstract conceptual or installation piece, or something personal, we can collaborate to bring your vision to life. Specialty Art Commission Pricing
For unique projects like murals, multi-canvas installations, moving image pieces, or conceptual pieces, pricing will be determined based on the scope & complexity of the project.
Terms & Conditions
Payment Terms
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work on your commissioned piece.
- The remaining 50% is due upon completion, prior to delivery or shipping of the artwork.
Timescales
- Small artworks Approx 4-6 weeks
- Medium artworks Approx 6-8 weeks
- Large or extra-large pieces Approx 8-12 weeks
- Speciality art commissions Timelines are determined based on the scope & complexity of the project
- Variations These timelines may vary based on the complexity of the piece & current commission workload. I will provide regular updates on the progress & estimated completion.
Customer Obligations
- For portraits, high-resolution reference photos are required. The more detailed & clear the images, the better the final artwork.
- For specialist art commissions, we will have a consultation to discuss your vision, preferences & any specific details you want to include.
- Once the artwork has been completed, small adjustments can be made if needed, but major changes may incur additional fees.
Shipping & Handling
- Shipping costs are not included in the initial commission price. These will be calculated based on your location & artwork size.
- For international orders, please note that customs & duties fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
